Description
Norfolk County Council has purchased installation works, electrical components, refrigerated vehicles and project management services for the fitting out of a temporary mortuary in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Norfolk County Council has purchased these goods without prior publication in accordance with regulation 32 2(c) of the Public Contract Regulations 2015: (a) The works and supplies were necessary to create a temporary mortuary due to Covid-19 in the County of Norfolk and; (b) The works, services and goods were required urgently to provide mortuary capacity due to the spread of Covid-19 in Norfolk and therefore the time limits for the open or restricted procedure or competitive procedures with negotiation could not be complied with and; (c) Covid-19 and therefore, the requirement for a temporary mortuary and necessary equipment, was an event unforeseeable by the Council
