Description

Cambridgeshire County Council (CCC) is seeking a Provider to deliver the equipment, consumables, training and customer support for cholesterol (Total serum cholesterol (TC) \\High Density Lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL) point-of-care testing (POCT) or near patient testing (NPT) as part of the NHS Health Check for upto 90 x GP practices across Cambridgeshire. Individual practices will have the option of taking part in cholesterol POCT or can continue to use phlebotomy. CCC may extend service provision to Pharmacies during the life of this contract for the delivery of training around POCT only. The Provider shall ensure that the testing analysers they use meet all Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) standards and are acceptable for use in clinical locations including GP practices and pharmacies. Standards for POCT (including IQC and EQA quality control schemes) should meet the required sections of the NHS Health Checks Best Practice Guidance (Updated March 2020) and NHS Health Check programme standards 2020. The Provider will be responsible for repairs, maintenance, and disposal of the equipment (if required) and internal and external quality control programmes.
