Description
Leicestershire County Council has been appointed by Defra to be the Responsible Authority (RA) charged with developing a Local Nature Recovery Strategy for Leicestershire, Leicester City and Rutland. To enable the development of the LNRS a steering group has been established consisting of Leicestershire County Council as the RA, the designated supporting authorities, namely Leicester City Council, Rutland County Council, 7 x District Councils of Blaby District Council, Charnwood Borough Council, Harborough District Council, Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council, Melton Borough Council, Northwest Leicestershire District Council, Oadby & Wigston Borough Council and Natural England and the Defra supporting bodies of Environment Agency, National Forest Company and Forestry Commission.
