Description
Pickering and Ferens wishes to procure and enter into a public contract with multiple contractors for the completion of reactive repairs, void and maintenance works contract, predominantly but not exclusively, to social housing properties. It may potentially include other public sector buildings, including but not limited to, schools that are linked to the contracting authority entitled to call off under the public contract. EN, Efficiency North, our procurement partner, leverage demand for construction, materials, services and contractors in order to deliver regeneration in the communities in which our clients operate. The public contract pursuant to this procurement will be a fundamental contributor to the delivery of high quality works, value for money and social and economic improvement. Works to include but not limited to roof repair and maintenance work. Repair and maintenance services of electrical building installations. Repair and maintenance services of electrical and mechanical building installations. Repair and maintenance services. Repair and maintenance services of building installations. The provision of comprehensive repairs and maintenance services including day to day responsive repairs, void refurbishment, estate based works and emergency out of hours' maintenance. The contractors appointed to the Public Contract will be expected to complete the works to a high standard and share P&F's and EN's commitment to regeneration, specifically the reinvestment of cost savings directly into local businesses, jobs and skills. The Public Contract will allow Pickering and Ferens to enter into underlying contracts for the completion of the works covered by the Public Contract. The procurement will be structured to allow opportunities for contractors of all sizes to tender for works that vary in size and will be completed predominantly across the geographical areas of Humberside but this may extend to other areas of the UK. The Public Contract will be divided in to a number of different Lots. Further details of this are contained below and within Annex B of this Notice. The Lots are as follows: 1. Multi Trade, Reactive Repairs, Void Works and Maintenance. 2. Electrical, Reactive Repairs, Void Works and Maintenance. 3. Plumbing, Reactive Repairs, Void Works and Maintenance. The Public Contract will be in place for a term of 36 months with an option to extend for a further 12 + 12 months. The Authority considers that the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 ("TUPE") may apply to the contract. It is the responsibility of Applicants to take their own advice and consider whether TUPE is likely to apply in the particular circumstances of the contract and to act accordingly.
