Description

Herts & West Essex Integrated Care Board currently has in place a number of separate contracts for GPwSI services. The services are within the West Essex area and will continue to be commissioned within West Essex. The services which are subject to this market engagement are: 1 Dermatology Community/ GPER service (adult); Uttlesford, Harlow & Epping (All West Essex). 2 Gynaecology Community/ GPER service (adult); Uttlesford only. 3 Cardiology Community/ GPER service (adult); Uttlesford only. 4 Community Ear Micro suction (adult); Uttlesford, Harlow & Epping (All West Essex). 5 Minor Surgery & vasectomy triage pathway host; Uttlesford, Harlow & Epping (All West Essex). West Essex has three localities, Harlow, Epping and Uttlesford, bringing together the 30 GP practices across the area. The aim of this procurement is to ensure people in these localities have access to, and get the very best possible care, when they need it to live long, healthy, and happy lives. Herts & West Essex ICB (ICB) are currently planning a procurement process to implement new contracts for the services listed above. The ICB are conducting pre procurement market engagement, the intelligence gathered from this process will be used by the ICB to inform the future services to be commissioned and the approach to the procurement process. This is not a formal procurement exercise and any information received from potential providers will not be taken into account into any future procurement process. Through this exercise, we want to: 1. Communicate the opportunity to interested providers, including an indicative future procurement timeline 2. Seek feedback from interested providers, we will do this in two ways: (i) Inviting interested providers to complete and submit a response to the questionnaire which sets out a number of key questions that commissioners are considering to support design of the model and the procurement approach; and (ii) Inviting interested providers to a provider event planned for Friday 16th December 2022 from 09:00am – 11:00am using Microsoft Teams Webinar. Registered providers can attend and gain further information/context as to the commissioners’ requirement for service provision and an overview of the procurement process. Interested providers can submit a response to the questionnaire without attending the market engagement session, and visa versa. However, we advise that it would be preferable for those returning a questionnaire to have attended the event as further context will be supplied to support you to submit a response. You will also be able to ask clarification questions of the commissioners at the event.
