Description
The Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) are looking to place a 3 year contract (with the option to extend a further 2 years) with a single provider for enhanced medical training for CNC's Strategic Escort Group (S.E.G), SEG provides enhanced armed protection during Operations involving the transit of nuclear materials by road, rail and sea. CNC require training provision in extended clinical care, the intentions, content and outcomes of which must meet the requirements of the CNC Clinical Governance Panel. The Training should provide the opportunity for a student to qualify for one or more of the following certificates or their equivalent certificate from a different governing body. a) MCA Standards of Training Certification and Watchkeeping AV14(4-6) MCA proficiency in Medical Care on Board Ship AV1/4 (4-6) , this is a specific qualification ran over 5 days and relevant to our role) b) Resuscitation Council (UK) ILS certificate c) Rescue, Trauma and Casualty Care Certificate from the faculty of anaesthesia, trauma and critical care. (Prolonged Medical Care and Advanced Medical training). A further essential element of the training is the provision of medical placements. (Clinical attachment, both first responder paramedic based and major trauma unit/hospital-based placement to enhance knowledge, experience and exposure).
