Riba Workstage 0-1 Study For The Collections Building At The Black Country Living Museum, Dudley

The West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) invited quotations for a RIBA Workstage 0-1 study to refurbish and convert the former Stainless Fittings building at the Black Country Living Museum, Dudley, into a purpose-built collections/archive store. The project aimed to house a large selection of the museum's assets, serve as an educational resource, and act as a tourist attraction. The scope included evaluating the building's suitability for storage, exploring heritage skills training and education opportunities, considering commercial and public uses, and assessing environmental sustainability measures.
