Description

Demolition Three buildings are to be demolished, these consist of a precast concrete multistorey car park, a single storey modular storage building and a two storey brick built drawing. The car par building is to be demolished by explosive demolition, the remaining buildings are t be demolished by traditional methods. Car Park Following demolition of the existing Multi Storey Car Park and adjacent disused buildings it is proposed to construct a 'at grade' single level car park within the footprint of the original buildings. Demolition concrete shall be recycled and processed to provide suitable fill, type 1 sub base and 10mm to 75mm NS clean stone for a drainage blanket. The new carpark comprises pre cast concrete (back to back) kerbing, low retaining walls and fencing with a bitumen based binder and surface course. Drainage. A new drainage system will comprise of gullies, catchpits and pipework that outfall into the existing Petrol interceptor via a throttled outlet. The pipework is part filter drain and part carrier drain designed to run through a drainage blanket which will act as storage during flood events.
