Description
Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service is the largest non-metropolitan fire and rescue service in England. We provide prevention, protection and response services across the counties of Devon and Somerset (including Torbay and Plymouth). We have 85 fire stations, the second largest number in England and over 1,900 committed and dedicated staff who work tirelessly to protect the 1.7 million people who live in our counties. Using Crown Commercial Services RM3808 - Lot 1 - The Authority is looking to replace our current provision of the Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) type Wide Area Network (not just internet lines) and Managed Internet due to the end of our current contracted term. As a blue light service potential contracts should be aware that we run critical emergency services over our network. The scope of the contract will include: • Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) type Wide Area Network • Managed Internet Connection • Hardware Outside of Scope • Fixed line telephony
