Description
This project will define, design, and configure SharePoint Online to support HE's business needs and our adoption of MS365. This includes design and configuring SharePoint Online to function as our agency wide DMS. The project will appoint a Microsoft Partner who can assist the organisation on this journey, by providing the guidance, expertise, support, and training needed. It will configure our tenancy and provided reusable artifacts including templates for SharePoint Online hub sites and working areas, libraries and lists, data feeds and connections, permission settings and governance policies. It will recommend and configure the Power Apps, Power Automate and the tools needed to support SPO users. It will provide Governance currently not in place, including around Data Retention, Data Loss Protection, and Data Classification (Labelling). It will migrate content and forms from SharePoint On-Prem and enable HE to decommission this legacy system and archive any content that needs to be retained in long term digital storage. It will provide the knowledge transfer and training to support this platform going forward.\r Problems this project will solve\r • Lack of governance and control means Homes England MS365 tenancy exposes the organisation to risk beyond our appetite.\r • Lack of governance of the platform, security controls, taxonomy, labels and metadata, retention policy, and correctly configured Compliance Centre has prevented SharePoint Online being adopted as our Document Management System.\r • Lack of inhouse knowledge and skills means Homes England are not making most of the platform and the opportunities this provides. \r • Department head and programme leads are frustrated by not being able to use SharePoint Online as this has not been certified for a range of use, delaying both process change and efficiency improvements that the platform could support.
