Description

Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) looked to procure skills bootcamps delivery for 2023/24 (funded via DfE's National Skills Fund) with the option to extend on a 1+1 basis subject to GMCA receiving continued funding. The key objectives of skills bootcamps in GM are to: 1. Address the needs of employers to fill skills shortage vacancies requiring specialist/technical skills and improve business productivity. 2. Address the needs of adults to retrain and upskill whatever their starting point. Providing clear line of sight to a new role / opportunity / contract. 3. Diversifying the talent pipeline by targeting groups facing disadvantage in the labour market and underrepresented in key sectors. For the purpose of this procurement exercise, activity is split into four separate lots: Lot 1: Skills Bootcamps: Digital, Technology, & Creative Sectors • Overall value: £2,000,000 • (Minimum contract value of £250,000 to a maximum value of £1,000,000) Lot 2: Skills Bootcamps: Construction Sector & Economy • Overall value: £1,500,000 • (Minimum contract value of £250,000 to a maximum value of £500,000) Lot 3: Skills Bootcamps - Manufacturing & Engineering Sectors • Overall value: £500,000 • (Minimum contract value of £250,000 to a maximum value of £500,000) Lot 4: Skills Bootcamps - Other Sectors including; Logistics, Education, Health, & Social Care, Hospitality, Leisure, & Tourism • Overall value: £1,000,000 • (Minimum value of £250,000 to a maximum value of £500,000) This opportunity was commissioned as a further competition/call off from the education, work and skills flexible procurement system.
