An opportunity has been presented for the Tees Valley region to take a transformational step in delivering the local and UK industrial strategy and supporting the economy in transitioning to a low or net zero carbon and circular economy. Teesside University in partnership with The Welding Institute (TWI) are developing a national facility for technological research, development, demonstration and transfer aimed at facilitating the transition of the Tees Valley and UK's engineering industries to more sustainable, low carbon processes and products.
