Description
The Councils Placemaking Team (the Team) are part of the Strategic Transport Service of City of Wolverhampton Council (CWC). They are working with the City Economy service to implement a programme of Placemaking funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF). This programme supports Our City: Our Plan: the city's priorities for the future, including on economic growth. Creating a vibrant city centre that feels safe, well-lit and attractive to visitors is vital to that. This is also reinforced in the city's Good Growth economic strategy. Given the importance of these key 'place-shaping' plans, the Council has also progressed supporting strategies including a destination management plan (DMP), a new Evening and Nighttime Economy (ENTE) strategy and Cultural Strategy. Lighting up key locations and heritage buildings is key to these plans and will help the city to retain and attract visitors. This procurement was carried out using YPO's Dynamic Purchasing System: 925 Highway Electrical Installations under Lot 2- Highway and Exterior Architectural Lighting.
