Description

The casework tracker is a critical tool used in Natural England (NE) to track planning work (terrestrial and marine) across the business. Some wider consultations are also managed this way. Planning is a core part of NE's sustainable development work, representing as such a key plank of the 25YEP and NE Roadmap. NE provide advice supporting the planning system and to landowners wishing to carry out activities that may affect the natural environment. Examples of associated casework include: - Planning application consultations - Pre-application consultations and associated SSSI advice - Development plans - Non-statutory information requests - Habitats Regulations and MCZ related consultations - Environmental Permit and Marine Licence consultations - Chargeable service consultations (such as paid-for pre-application advice) - SSSI Assents - SSSI Consents - SSSI Enforcement/Environmental Damage - EIA Agriculture - Heather and Grass Burning - Any new types of consultations/recording requirement The tracker is used to produce formal reports - including to MHCLG on NE's performance against the land use planning KPI (response to 95% of planning applications within agreed deadlines) and large housing sites report.
