Description

The successful supplier will be required to provide cleaning services for the Zenith Multi Academy Trust at the following schools: - The King John School, - The James Hornsby School, - Laindon Park Primary School. We are a South East Essex Multi Academy Trust, currently comprising 2 secondary schools and 1 primary school: The King John School in Benfleet, The James Hornsby School in Basildon, and Laindon Park Primary School and Nursery in Basildon. The King John School and The James Hornsby School are rated Outstanding and Good in their recent Ofsted inspections respectively. The Trust's core aim is to ensure that we enhance the life chances of all the young people within the Trust to enable them to fulfil their potential and achieve the best possible outcomes. This is at the heart of everything we do. The Schools: The King John School, in Benfleet, is a secondary school and sixth form, with over 2 000 students and approx. 250 staff, who specialise in mathematics and computing. The building dates back to 1949. The James Hornsby School, in Laindon, is a secondary school of approx. 950 students and 100 staff. The building is approx. 50 years old. Laindon Park is a single entry Primary, with under 200 students and approx. 29 staff. The building dates back to the early 1900 s. The Tender: The tender project is seeking to appoint a supplier whose initiative and innovation will be welcomed for the provision of cleaning services within the facilities for each school in the Trust. The high quality service levels proposed should maintain excellent standards throughout, resulting in a pleasant environment for both the pupils and staff at all schools. The basis and rationale that the client requires the successful supplier to operate to at all times, is being able to provide a school that is fit for purpose and that the supplier is proactive in the management of the contract, thus ensuring that all specifications are achieved and that the frequency of cleans is as detailed within the tender specification. The contract being tendered is for three years in duration from 1.4.2019 until 31.3.2022, with the possibility of a further 2 year extension with agreement from the Trust (a 3 + 2 year contract). This contract will be fixed price in nature, with the Supplier invoicing the client for one-twelfth of the annual cost on a monthly basis. It should be noted that the successful Supplier will be expected to bring to the contract: innovation; new equipment; and cleaning methods, with BICSc standards being achieved, as a minimum, thus ensuring that the highest levels of cleanliness are maintained in all areas at all times and also ensuring that the productivity of the cleaning operatives is enhanced moving forward into the new contract term. The total value of the current cleaning provision across the Trust is 355 444 GBP. (Further information is provided in the SQ Documentation.)
