Description
Introduction West London Waste Authority (WLWA) is a statutory Waste Disposal Authority (WDA) established in 1986. WLWA is responsible for disposing of waste collected by the London Boroughs of Brent, Ealing, Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow and Richmond upon Thames. The Authority serves a population of approximately 1.7 million residents across an area of 38,000 hectares. Waste Authorities have a vital role in enabling a circular economy and supporting residents to adopt more sustainable behaviours. As part of this commitment, WLWA has established a dedicated Circular Economy Team to drive innovative change across the waste sector. West London Waste Authority (WLWA) is entering into some early market engagement to determine interest in processing and recycling Wood waste from across the West London area. WLWA is responsible for processing the wood waste from across its six constituent boroughs - Brent, Ealing, Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow and Richmond. Approximately 16,000 tonnes of wood per year requires processing from the six west London HRRCs / CA sites. This material is predominantly Grade C waste and WLWA are interested in suppliers who can process/recycle this material - either delivered in or collected. If interested in this opportunity, suppliers are asked to express their interest via email to bethbaylay@westlondonwaste.gov.uk ***Please note, this is not a call for competition***
