Description

The Combines Heat and Power (CHP) unit within the Energy Centre at University Hospital of Hartlepool (UHH) has been in place since 2004. Its expected life was between 12 and 15 years – this has now been exceeded. Further the engine was scaled against the electrical load of the site in 2003 (circa 1300kW) and it has now dropped to circa 700kW forcing the engine to run sub-optimally. We are seeking market engagement to develop a specification to meet the needs of the hospital with future proofing technology.
