Description
The aim of this Framework is to identify a single supplier to support Ormiston Academies Trust's future expansion requirements at its established Academies. OAT aims to reduce its carbon footprint by minimising consumptions and through the use of renewable energies. The Framework seeks to procure buildings that aim to be zero-energy. This means that the total amount of energy used by the proposed buildings on an annual basis is to be roughly equal to the amount of renewable energy created on the site. The other key principle is to procure buildings that are modular in nature and constructed off-site. The key aspects of off-site manufacturing principles are to achieve; Reduced site operations and overall disruption to the school; Greater quality control of constructed elements in a manufacturing environment; Ability to deliver units and complete installation within constrained deadlines; and Reduced commercial risks and great cost certainty.
