Westmorland & Furness Council are delivering a Housing Market Renewal scheme through the Government's Town Deal funding (Brilliant Barrow - The Future of Barrow is Bright). The works are focussed around tenement blocks on Barrow Island and aim to address high levels of deprivation and health inequality in private housing in the area. Works include design and delivery of public realm improvements to Egerton Court, Steamer St and Island Rd.
