ADCP Devices

The University requires a small number of acoustic Doppler current profilers (ADCP) with various ranges to be deployed in British Indian Ocean Territory for a research project aiming to investigate the influence of physical oceanographic processes on near-bed sediment resuspension processes and biomass aggregation. Of principal importance are the impact of internal waves in driving turbulent mixing and the transport of resuspended particles up and down the strongly sloping seabed that surrounds the seamounts and atolls to be studied.
