To assist with the review and assess planning applications for new development , in terms of the potential environmental impacts, and make appropriate recommendations with reference to relevant guidance and statutory frameworks.\r The Environmental impacts to be assessed will be specified by the Council and may include air quality, dust, lighting, noise and odour and contaminated land .
