Description
The Building Connectivity Project forms part of L&Q's Corporate Plan for Investment in the Quality of Homes. Through projects like this we will be improving the way we manage and monitor properties through smart technologies. The Building Connectivity Project will put the infrastructure, network and equipment in place to create an improved approach to managing communal building services such as boiler plant, lifts, fire alarms and hot & cold water pumps. Rather than relying on residents to be our alarm system when a Building Service breaks down, we will receive live information on faults and be able to proactively arrange a call out with our maintenance contractors. Between August 2018 and October 2019, L&Q aims to deliver Building Connectivity for 300 L&Q Schemes including on-site equipment and connections to BMS, remote connectivity, and front end software/user interface. The Building Workstream, and the scope of this procurement, relates to supply and install of specified electrical building installations (including Integration Panel, connections and sensors to up to 17 Building Services equipment types) at 250 blocks across London & South East, ad hoc repair and maintenance services of the same electrical building installations and associated enabling and making good works. The 250 schemes are found in a variety of different building types from New Build to older Sheltered Housing blocks. In addition there are 50 schemes which may in the future require additional equipment installed to connect up to building services, which have been part of an earlier phase of the project to connect HVAC.
