Description
County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust have a requirement for Ketone Testing. Ketone Testing is vital because it enables early detection and management of diabetic ketoacidosis, a life-threatening complication of diabetes and is required to meet NICE standards for diabetes management. Ketone testing also guides treatment during confirmed DKA and helps prevent avoidable hospital admissions by supporting effective sick-day management. The contract has been awarded to Roche Diagnostics Limited by utilising the NHSSC Framework Agreement for the supply of Laboratory Diagnostics, Point of Care Testing and Pathology Managed Services. The term of the contract is 60 months with 2x12 months optional extension.
