Gloucestershire Carers Support Services

Gloucestershire Carers Support Services 2019-2024 Gloucestershire County Council and Clinical Commissioning Group are commissioning support to allow our unpaid carers to feel valued, empowered and supported to continue caring for as long as they choose. We have two contracts available, one for adult and parent carers, and one for young and young adult carers. Providers may tender for one or both contracts. We are now looking for a visionary provider(s) who shares our aspirations and will work closely with us and other partners to raise the profile of carers across Gloucestershire and improve the support available to them. The Provider (s) will support us to meet our statutory duties to carers, including promoting their wellbeing so that carers are supported to look after their own health, build and maintain their resilience and avoid crisis. The Provider(s) will also need to be innovative and flexible, capable of adapting their approach in a timely manner in response to new national guidance, local changing needs or good practice elsewhere. In order to achieve all of this and build a strong working relationship between us we are pleased to offer the successful provider(s) a five year contract, with an option to extend for (up to) a further two years.
