Mediation and Dispute Resolution Service

Sheffield City Council (the Purchaser) seeks to commission an independent, impartial, dynamic Organisation (Service Provider) to deliver their statutory obligation in developing a disagreement resolution and mediation service in line with the requirements of the: • Children and Families Act 2014 • The Special Educational Needs and Disability Regulations 2014 • SEN and Disability Code of Practice 0 to 25 years In line with the Children and Families Act 2014 it is a requirement for parents to consider mediation before they register an appeal with the First-tier Tribunal. Parents are also able to attend mediation regarding the Health and Social Care elements of an Education, Health and Care Plan.
