Description
The main bridleway track (1000m) running through Ham Street Woods National Nature Reserve and SSSI to the south of Ashford in Kent (managed by Natural England) becomes very wet and muddy in winter due to the clay substrate. The aim of this project is to surface the Right of Way to provide for better public access and to facilitate forestry operations. The works are likely to take up to 3 weeks and need to be completed by the end of October at the very latest, but preferably starting by mid-September, before wet conditions set in.
