Description
The London Borough of Hackney is looking to procure the services of a contractor to deliver Weed Spraying 2017/18. The main provision of weed control services will be required from March 2017 to December 2017 although the contract will run for one (1) year and there may also be ad hoc sprays necessary as and when required. Services under this contract will involve the application of herbicide (Glyphosate) to eradicate all grass and weed growth on the highways and housing estate paths and hard standing. This includes surfaced footways, kerbs, channels, back lines, paved roundabouts/traffic islands, street furniture, tree bases, estate paths and hard standing and any other sites/areas as directed (e.g. council car parks). Tenderers will also be required to submit quotations for control of Japanese Knotweed and Giant Hog Weed. These procurement will not be divided into Lots as it is not economically viable. Details can be obtained by assessing the tender documentation which is available on the London Tender Portal from Monday 20th February 2017.
