Description
The Flood and Water Management Team at Kent County Council undertakes the council's duties as the Lead Local Flood Authority for Kent, including investigations into significant flood events. Repeated incidences of flooding have occurred around four culverted ordinary watercourses in Kent. Two in Tunbridge Wells, the River Grom and the Southborough Stream; one in Ightham, the Busty Stream; and two in Snodland, Roman Road small watercourse and Pollard Lake Outflow. The Supplier will be working with Kent County Council to undertake river monitoring through the implementation of gauges on the above watercourses to gather data such as but not limited to the river level, flow and velocity providing detailed monitoring, reporting, maintenance and management of the gauges installed over the contract duration. The initial contract term is 5 years with an option to extend on an annual rolling basis for a maximum of 5 years.
