Description
LondonWaste Limited (LWL) holds a contract with North London Waste Authority (NLWA) for the treatment and disposal of municipal waste collected by the north London boroughs. LWL delivers waste treatment services to the NLWA primarily via the LWL Energy Centre (an Energy-from-Waste facility) located at the company's EcoPark within the London Borough of Enfield. The Energy Centre has an operating capacity of circa 540,000 tonnes each year and produces circa 100,000 – 110,000 tonnes of Incinerator Bottom Ash (IBA) annually as a result of the process. LWL is now seeking Expressions of Interest from organisations able to undertake the following: - The processing of IBA from the LWL Energy Centre to produce a product of economic value and the onward supply of that product to end-markets. - The recovery of both ferrous and non-ferrous metals from the IBA to enable the sale of high-quality scrap for recycling.
