Description
This contract has been awarded via further competition under the UKNNL NNLC484D - Operations, Site Work and Facilities Management Dynamic Purchasing System. Background UKNNL is the government's lead civil laboratory for nuclear fission. We provide the science, technology and world-leading laboratories to support the country's civil nuclear programmes and ensure they are delivered safely and cost-effectively. UKNNL is the custodians of national nuclear research, development, capabilities and infrastructure, with the value of the nuclear facilities we manage totalling £2bn. The Laboratory spans across the UK with a mixture of office and laboratory facilities. Our Laboratories are: - Workington Laboratory - Central Laboratory - Windscale Laboratory - Preston Laboratory It is these laboratories which need external supply chain support to be maintained, upgraded and repurposed. This contract is for the site works required to support these facilities in maintaining operation. This contract is for site works, up to a value of £1 million pounds. Contract Details The contract will run for 24 months, with the option to extend by up to 12 further months. This contract is to include works, such as: • Electrical Installation Works • Mechanical Installation Works • Process Installation Works • Decommissioning Works • Roofing and cladding works
