Description
Medway Council’s Private Sector Housing Team provides statutory services and advice to private landlords and private rental tenants. The teams work has an impact upon the health and protection of borough residents and to remedy inadequate housing conditions. Private Sector Housing also licence mobile home sites and houses in multiple occupation and ensure that management regulations are met within these properties. To designate an area under a discretionary and selective licensing scheme, the council must undertake a comprehensive and legally compliant public consultation. This process should be informed by robust stakeholder mapping, detailed audience analysis, and prior engagement experience. Based on these foundations, a targeted consultation marketing and communications strategy should be developed, incorporating a detailed delivery plan that outlines key messaging, communication channels, and a breakdown of planned activities.
