Description
The supplier/s will run a sensitive 10-week programme within Sandwell and Middlesborough to improve vaccine and prevention literacy, in people accessing support related to income deprivation. This will require the supplier to tackle any language barriers within local communities, for example the local Black African, Black African Caribbean, Bangladeshi and Pakistani populations where COVID vaccination uptake is lower. The project is divided into 2 lots and suppliers are invited to bid for one or both lots: • Lot 1 - Middlesborough will specifically concentrate on increasing vaccine take-up in the over 50s, building on existing health literacy work. • Lot 2 - Sandwell will specifically concentrate in increasing vaccine take-up in families (including pregnancy) and their children, working to support the area's existing Primary Care Network telephone call campaign. The work in both geographical areas needs is to be developed for and in conjunction with frontline teams and their communities. Local and national teams are supportive of this project.
