Description
The Council currently leases 23 HMO's from private landlords. This project proposes that around 6 HMO's (equating to approx. 25-30 rooms) are subleased to a specialist supported housing provider to facilitate the provision of an enhanced supported housing package targeted specifically at residents such as rough sleepers who are suffering from mental health conditions and/or drug or alcohol dependency issues. One of the main advantages of this proposal are that we can separate out those clients who are solely single homeless people from those who have more complex health and welfare needs in addition to their housing need.
