The Provision of Support for Children and Young People with Complex Needs in Thames Valley

Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust are awarding a contract to RAW Workshop to provide nine (9) Community Youth Workers who will be deployed to work across the Thames Valley. The architecture of the programme is creating 3 individual spoke teams, placed in the 3 main counties in the Thames Valley footprint: Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire & Berkshire. The Community Youth Workers will working inside these teams alongside NHS and third sector staff as part of a blended workforce of clinicians and other workers. The Community Youth Workers will: - deliver a range of evidence informed/ best practice interventions with CYP/families using a strength based and outcomes focused approach; - deliver an outreach function, meeting/ working with the CYP and families face to face where they live in the community; - act as an advocate and at times a coordinator for CYP and families across the range of professionals; - contribute to the program's consultation (advice and guidance) and training offer in their areas of expertise and insight to support the capacity building outcomes; - link with the community and third sector organisation(s): keeping up to date with their offer, forming for the spoke teams and other professionals a 'system knowledge' of community assets to ensure support is meeting the needs of CYP and families; - work with CYP to ensure co-production of the model In addition to known interventions, the service will also be given the opportunity to innovate to attempt to reach outcomes in new or alternative ways.
