The CCGs have approved the decision to award the contract for Primary Urgent Care Services for the Fylde Coast to these providers following a detailed assessment alongside a wider market engagement process (as published on Contracts Finder) that they are the most capable providers of the services in line with the NHS Procurement, Patient Choice and Competition Regulations 2013 (the 2013 Regulations) and in light of Monitor's substantive guidance on those regulations. In reaching their decision to award this contract, the CCGs have carefully considered the benefits of competition as well as their obligations under the 2013 Regulations to securing the needs of service users and to improve quality, efficiency and value for money.
