Description
The successful service provider will be required to provide the Council with coaching services that include, but are not limited to, the following requirements: Potential suppliers should provide a programme of coaching qualifications, with the intention of training staff to become practicing and certified workplace coaches within the council. These qualifications should be tiered to represent beginner, intermediate, and advanced candidates. Identified staff are expected to be trained in two groups, across two years. The first group is expected to start training early 2026 and the second will begin training in January 2027. The councils reserve the right to adjust the number of candidates within the second group or to cancel this group, should the need arise. Each group is expected to need the beginner, intermediate, and advanced coaching offers and may not include the same number of staff for each level of the course. Identified staff will be expected to attend one course each only and the councils have undertaken an initial evaluation process to assess suitability. The courses are not expected to specifically cover mentoring; the focus is coaching. Suppliers are expected to assess and support staff throughout their training, including identifying potential issues and learning needs support, and resolving these. In the event that the programme requires coachees for the purpose of the programme, the councils will identify and source coachees. Where course specifications are listed with a recognised qualification, bidders should demonstrate that their qualification is of a similar quality and level. Potential innovative aspects of course implementation and delivery will be welcomed where there is a genuine benefit to students. The successful supplier will not be required to arrange membership of any professional organisations / institutes for the coaches as part of this service. Full details can be found within the suite of tender documents.
