Description
The Urban Connected Communities project forms a strategic part of the 5G Testbeds and Trials Programme, aiming to develop new and aggregated demand for 5G services from Urban Local Authorities, and the ability for them to create economic growth and better orchestrated public services through improved digital connectivity. The purpose of this service is the creation of a 'template' to support this major project. Our aim from developing an Urban Connected Communities Template is to create a set of reusable materials that will form a starting point for Local Authorities to prepare for and initiate the delivery of the initial DCMS-led Urban Connected Communities project in which they will take the lead delivery role. Once validated within the initial project, the output Template will be used by many other Local Authorities to validate their readiness for 5G deployment, and to inform further development work required to access the benefits of 5G.
