Precast Concrete

Skanska UK PLC seeks design and constructability support from a precast concrete supplier with specialism in modular bridge construction. The scope of works will include providing design input to Skanska UK PLC and our lead designer Mott MacDonald to support the development of the Structure Options Report (SOR) and Approval in Principle (AIP) and Detailed Design for several bridges within the Kent Roads contract for Lower Thames Crossing. This will ensure that a suitable solution is developed in line with the projects requirements, Development Consent Order (DCO) commitments, commercial and programme constraints. The prospective supplier will be required to have the capability to develop low carbon solutions and work collaboratively with Skanska UK PLC to refine the finish of the precast concrete elements to comply with the project architectural requirements as outlined in the DCO Design Principles document. The prospective supplier will also be required to work in conjunction with the Skanska UK PLC construction management and commercial teams to develop construction methodology, sequencing, programmes and budget estimates.
