Description
Who Dares Works is a project funded by the European Social Fund and the National Lottery Community Fund. It is led and managed by Active Plus Community Interest Company and delivered by a partnership of social enterprises. The services we are seeking: Active Plus is seeking delivery of Who Dares Serves courses that provide a taste of working in the blue light services and armed forces, as well as the opportunity to build employability skills through teamwork, excellent communication skills, following instructions and leadership. The minimum requirements are: • Courses to run for 5 consecutive days for a minimum of 4.5 hours per day • Courses to accommodate between 6 and 12 participants • Delivery to take place in the West Cornwall Local Action Group in community-based settings that are accessible • Delivery to be undertaken by professionals already working in the blue-light services or armed forces • Delivery to include a taste of working in the Fire and Rescue Service, Police Service, Armed Forces and at least one emergency service (e.g. ambulance service, coastguard, search and rescue • Delivery to include practical hands-on tasks that build motivation, employability and knowledge of entry routes into the blue-light services and armed forces • Participants to receive a certificate of completion and support to reflect their new skills/experience on their CVs How to Apply: • For a tender information pack please email andyj@activeplus.org.uk • Please include 'Who Dares Works Tender APWDW03' in the heading of your email.
