Description
The UK-India Tech Hub is one of a global network of international tech partnerships developed by DCMS to build digital ecosystems that will facilitate sustainable economic growth and development. The Tech Hub has three pillars: 1. To deliver tailored interventions to cultivate digital skills responding to the needs and opportunities for inclusion in the local tech sector for example promoting opportunities for youth and women in the local tech sector; 2. To support tech entrepreneurship through partnerships with local digital ecosystem stakeholders including incubators, accelerators, UK and Indian private sector firms, Indian government departments and agencies and non- profit organizations; 3. To facilitate partnerships between local tech firms (including tech start-ups) and international companies (across all sectors) in the form of commercial partnerships or joint ventures. DCMS requires a supplier to map current activities taking place in the digital tech ecosystem in Hyderabad as per the hub's three pillars; facilitate engagement activities with key stakeholders; and use this analysis to develop a number of potential options of programmes that are available to leverage digital and tech interventions for inclusive growth in India to enable the tech hub to deliver under the three key pillars.
