BFI is seeking a Security Services provider across its 5 sites as follows: BFI Southbank BFI Southbank is a public building located on the busy South Bank area of London with in excess of 3 million visits per year. The building has a wide range of facilities open to the public. 24 hour manned security is required for 365 days a year currently providing 476 hours of cover per week. As well as providing the usual security expertise the Security team at BFI Southbank are also an important public facing team acting as the 'front door' to a substantial number of enquiries from public or BFI Staff face to face and via telephone or email. BFI IMAX BFI IMAX is a purpose built IMAX cinema which houses 1 screen being the largest in the UK at 26m wide and 22m high and a seating capacity of 500. The film program consists of a mixture of mainstream IMAX releases and education/family screenings. 24 hour manned security is required for 365 days a year currently providing 168 hours of cover per week. As well as providing the usual security expertise the Security guard at the BFI IMAX are also an important public facing team acting as the 'front door' to a substantial number of enquiries from public or BFI Staff face to face and via telephone or email. BFI Headquarters The BFI Headquarters is situated at 21 Stephen Street, London W1T 1LN and consists of a 1960's office block on 6 floors. Currently security is required to open and close the site each working day and be present in-between which current amounts to 90 cover hours per week. The team also provides cover, when necessary, for weekend working. We also require a key holding patrol and response service to respond to alarm signals out of core hours within 1 hour. BFI National Archive The National Archive is sited on the outskirts of Berkhamsted in Hertfordshire. The site is some 9 acres in total with 90,000 square feet of buildings. The buildings comprise offices, laboratories, film handling rooms, 3 specialist safety film stores, each of some 640m2, a specialist Nitrate film store comprising 24 storage cells, a paper store, a poster store plus film processing and printing facilities. Security cover is required out of core staff hours (0800 and 1800 Monday to Friday) and 24 hours during weekends and bank holidays which currently amount to 123 hours per week. Gaydon Located near Gaydon is the BFI Master Film Store (MFS) along with a number of other vaults that together house the majority of the Nitrate stock and all master material which approximately amounts to 475,000 cans of film. The current Security Service is provided by Mobile Security Officers who also act as the Keyholding provider and Emergency Site response.
