Description
This Invitation to Tender is for researchers to identify and assess the impact of reducing the age of entitlement to the National Living Wage on young people. We are interested in research that assesses the impact of the reduction in the age of entitlement to the NLW to 23 in April 2021 and to 21 in April 2024. The research should examine the impact of the reduction in age of entitlement and of increases in the minimum wage on hourly and weekly wages, employment, hours worked and education participation. Findings will provide insights on the ambition and help inform the pace of recommendations to reduce the age of entitlement to age 18. The full requirement is set out in Schedule 07 of this Invitation to Tender (LPC2024/01). Further information can be found on our website https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/low-pay-commission-call-for-research-2025 You must submit your tender to tim.butcher@lowpay.gov.uk. It must arrive no later than 14:00 on 10 February 2025.
