A contract with Amazon Business under the YPO Amazon Digital Marketplace 1142 Framework will bring the council's current maverick spend under a formal contract, In the last 12 months, SBC has spent £181,000 on Amazon Purchases, with £2122 of that amount on delivery charges. Moving to an Amazon Business account will eliminate delivery costs for the first year and provide unlimited delivery in subsequent years for an annual fee of £1000.     In addition, the Amazon Business platform offers a 'guided buying' feature which allows the council to set preferred product categories and suppliers and restrict others. This helps ensure that staff purchasing decisions align with procurement policies and strategic priorities.
