Description
This specification is for the design and build of demountable defences against coastal flooding and associated supporting elements on the islands of St Mary's and St Agnes, Isles of Scilly. The demountable defences are systems that can be assembled and/or installed before predicted flooding events and removed after the event has passed. Some supporting elements of the demountable defences may be relatively extensive and permanent, including works such as earth banks or solid walls. The demountable elements in these cases will be required to be installed to close each more permanent defence completely during coastal flooding events.
