Description
This soft market testing exercise is aimed at gauging the interest from providers to deliver Local Community Services for Primary Care Contracts. They were previously known as Local Enhanced Services and since transfer from the Primary Care Trust to the council on 1st April 2013, they have been renamed Local Community Services and comprise: • NHS Health Checks, • Long Acting Reversible Contraception, • Smoking Cessation, • Emergency Hormonal Contraception, • Chlamydia Testing, • Rapid HIV Testing, • Substance misuse, • Needle Exchange and Supervised Consumption. The purpose of this soft market testing exercise is to determine whether or not there is sufficient interest in the market place for the delivery of Local Community Services from existing, as well as, new providers, to inform future commissioning and the development/refinement of service specifications. The Council is also keen to explore ways in which the Council can improve cost effectiveness and health outcomes from Local Community Services. A background to the Local Community Services is set out in the soft market testing Questionnaire which is available on the e-sourcing portal Delta e-Sourcing www.delta-esourcing.com.
