Description
NHS PiP is a collaboration of the national procurement Hubs which enables NHS PiP to utilise the collective expertise of each organisation, to facilitate aggregation, avoid unnecessary duplication and influence the procurement landscape to best effect for the NHS. The NHS PiP Hubs will work in collaboration with the NHSEI PTOM team to engage with the ICS Procurement teams, with the aim to help them monitor and track their progress against a set of 34 activities. The PiP Hubs will also support NHSEI to collate the data required to create this national picture. In addition, the Hubs will leverage their local relationships to nuance the implementation advice based on the local context whilst cascading the principles defined in the published guidance. This contract covers ICS Support for the value of £88,375 (excluding VAT) NOE CPC (via the legal entity Leeds and York Partnerships NHS Foundation Trust). The purpose of the work is to achieve a common and co-operative objective in support of national policy objectives (and associated legislation) concerning the re-structure of NHS to improve efficient delivery of NHS based public procurement services. The efficient operation and alignment of NHS procurement teams is a key objective of the Procurement Transformation Operating Model under which this sits, and the ability to optimize use of public finances, reducing waste and duplication of activities is a key driver.
