Colyear St Demolition and Asbestos Clearance of Pennine Hotel and Brannigans (Phase 1). The form of contract to be used is the NEC4 Engineering and Construction Short Contract ----------------------- Details of Award The contract has been split into two stages, to reflect that Stage 2 ' the Works' is conditional on the discharge of two planning conditions being satisfied before commencement of the works. The contract has been awarded for Stage 1 of the demolition - 'Site Planning Activities'. The contract value for Stage 1 is £25,000 and the initial contract period is 4 January 2021 - 28 February 2021. Stage 2,' the Works' from 1 March 2021 to 23 July 2021, subject to the discharge of two planning conditions. It is expected that planning approval will be granted no later than 12 February 2021, and site possession will be available from 1 March 2021. The total contract value for Stage 1 and Stage 2 is £835,841.42. Despite robust pre-contract investigation and surveys new asbestos has been detected within the site. The demolition contract value has increased from £835,841.42 to £1,648,000. Completion date revised from 23 July 2021 to 11 April 2022
