Description
Network Rail is seeking to install a mix of permanent and temporary Electric Vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across 45 sites in the Wales and Western Region. Charger capacities will range from 22 kW to 150 kW, with the number of chargers per site varying between 2 and 30 depending on site-specific needs. The scope covers the full end-to-end delivery of these works, including site assessments, design, procurement of chargers, installation (including any required electrical upgrades and civil works), testing and commissioning, and handover with training for site personnel. The aim is to provide reliable, safe, and efficient charging solutions that meet all relevant standards, integrate with existing infrastructure, and can accommodate varying charging demands. The project is expected to be completed within a six-month period, with timelines and budgets informed by detailed site assessments. Suppliers’ input through this engagement will help shape the procurement approach, technical specifications, delivery programme, and commercial model.
