Description
The contracting authority is the Department for Transport (DfT). DfT is the government department responsible for the safety and security of transport across the UK. Transport Security Division Directorate within DfT leads on national security matters, ranging from counter terrorism to cyber security. The Cyber team is responsible for identifying and helping to counter cyber security threats in the transport sector, and for regulating the maritime operators of essential services (OES) under the Network and Information System (NIS) Regulations 2018. DfT is seeking delivery of cyber security services as part of our Cyber Programme to improve our understanding and resilience of cyber security within transport.
