Description

The Royal College of Anaesthetists (RCoA) requires a supplier to provide a new bespoke web-based Life Long Learning platform to support the assessment and learning of trainee and consultant anaesthetists across the UK. The Contract duration will be 2 years. The platform will replace and improve separate e-Portfolio, Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and logbook systems. The key benefits will be improved user experience and learning, high quality and responsive user support as well as good commissioning and value for money. This is one of the key projects of the Technology Strategy Programme which is dedicated to reviewing, integrating, replacing or upgrading the range of systems used by members who learn, train and assess. The proposed solution will allow: • Trainees to record assessments, activities, and reflections, and map these to requirements set out by defined curricula. • Trainers to be able to monitor trainee progress and provide feedback and sign off assessments. • Panels to be set up in order for trainee records to be reviewed by a select group of trainers and for these to be signed off online. • Administrators to be able to make as many changes to forms, curricula, user roles/permissions, and workflows without additional supplier support. This is a one off procurement.
